My responsibility for Beware of the Obelisk:
Flag simulation for the project, there were minor changes between the simulation for the project between shots 1 and 4 because of how I hand animated the nucleus solver.
Worked as shotgrid leader with creating the pipeline for the shots in the beginning of the quarter, (the schedule originally planned was scratched due to how the two hurricanes impacted our schedule without delayed filming).
Lighting and rendering for shots 1 and 4 the flag beauty, reflection, and shadows.
Final flagpole shader setting, worked with the whole team on this, but the final rendered settings were from me, (the classic gray shader).
If I had two more more weeks
I would have added the original grass simulation that we originally planned.
Have flag match better with the atmosphere that was added later on in the project.
Doing the simulation with Houdini Vellum Solver, my original tests with vellum was that the solver was too slow with what needed to be accomplished, which was a high wind speed and high air density; which was what made me stick with Ncloth's nucleus solver.
